2016 Bacigalupi Vineyard Chardonnay
94 POINTS, WINE ENTHUSIAST
“A jasmine aroma lifts from the glass as white peach lingers in the background. Sourced from the well-known Bacigalupi Vineyard, the palate is well textured and sizzling in lemon zest acidity.” -February 2019
The Bacigalupi family grapes garnered fame in 1976 when they were used to make Chateau Montelena’s winning entry in that year’s Paris Tasting.
2016 Rochioli-Allen Vineyards Pinot Noir
96 POINTS, WINE ENTHUSIAST
“This wine offers elements of forest floor and nutmeg atop a stony texture. Grapefruit, lime and raspberry flavors offer further intrigue on the palate, providing deliciously inviting fruit components around a core of fresh, lively acid.” -June 2019
This blend is comprised predominantly of Pommard Selection from the Allen Old (planted 1974) and New (planted 1996) North Hill blocks, and the balance is Pommard from the Rochioli Vineyard.
2016 Hallberg Vineyard-Dijon Clones Pinot Noir
93 POINTS, WINE ENTHUSIAST
“Brawny, juicy and lushly layered, this wine impresses in its full-bodied concentration of strawberry jam and biscuit flavors, with soft, approachable tannins. Black tea and a twist of clove give it an understated warmth and spicy persistence.” -February 2019
The strong marine influence means less severe daily temperature shifts so the vines never completely shut down, producing fruit with deep, dark color, great structure, silky tannins, darker fruit flavors and earthy characteristics.
2016 Lancel Creek Vineyard Pinot Noir
96 POINTS, WINE ENTHUSIAST
“This is a boldly layered red, savory in earth tones of forest and cardamom. Boysenberry and strawberry flavors combine with a nervy edge for a lush yet fresh package that works on every level. A thirst-quenching thread of acidity persists from start to finish.” -June 2019
This vineyard site provides ideal Pinot Noir growing conditions. The combination of cool ocean air and the warm afternoon sunshine produces truly coastal wines with incredible balance, opulence and a beautiful sense of place.
